    Description
    RECEPTIONIST/SECRETARY- JUVENILE DEPT.


    Under the direct supervision of the Administrative Assistant, the Receptionist/Secretary will be responsible for receiving and transferring all incoming calls, monitoring all lobby activities, receiving all department visitors, assisting with the security of the IntakeArea, typing, and other minor clerical duties.

    The Receptionist/Secretary is a highly visible position with the department, and requires a neat and professional appearance at all times.


    DUTIES:
    Will operate the department switchboard.
    Will receive all individuals visiting the department. Clients reporting will be properly documented and probation officers notified.
    Will monitor all lobby activity.
    Miscellaneous clerical duties (i.e., typing correspondence and labels, and proof-reading other clerical work for correction).
    Will perform other duties assigned within professional competency.

    ``` -QUALIFICATIONS: - High School Diploma/GED - Valid Texas Drivers License - US Citizen - Must pass required Background Checks upon hire/ annually - Knowledge of basic receptionist duties. - Proficient skills in typing. Must possess a working knowledge of computers, i.e. Programs required are Microsoft Word and Excel. - Proficient in the English language both verbal and written. - Knowledge in filing and organizational skills. - Be of high moral character. - Work well with others. - Possess the ability to learn required job skills, carry out assigned duties, and accept increasing responsibilities. - Maintain a neat and professional appearance.

    **Starting pay is $35,000 annually or DOE + benefits
