    **Health/Wellness Team Leader**

    **Location:** Tyler, TX **Brookshire Grocery Company (BGC) is a family business based in Tyler, Texas, and currently operates more than 202 stores in three states Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, and Oklahoma with three distribution centers and a corporate office.     ****Job Summary****

    Provides leadership of health/wellness personnel and promotes customer service by assisting with locating products, conducting price verifications, and providing knowledge on products.

    ****Essential Duties and Responsibilities****

    Ensures product is within date and rotated accordingly to maintain quality control.

    Provides customers with information on products such as vitamins, natural/organic items, home and beauty care, etc.

    Installs security tags to merchandise to ensure items are not stolen.

    Checks inventory on trucks, unloads products, and ensures accuracy of inventory, product ordering, and associated paperwork.

    Promotes product sales through use of suggestive selling initiatives.

    Stacks pallets and sorts product into correct locations according to Company efficiency standards and expectations.

    Maintains clean, safe and sanitary working and shopping environment by adhering to Company safety procedures.

    Provides friendly and customer-service-oriented attitude by greeting customers, answering questions, etc.

    ****Knowledge, Skills and Abilities****

    Intermediate knowledge of alcohol regulations and guidelines.

    Ability to read and operate bar equipment such as corkscrews, draft beer dispensers, etc.

    Ability to safely operate hazardous tools and equipment such as an ice machine, commercial glass washers, commercial ovens, etc.

    Ability to learn new systems, methods, or processes.

    Ability to use precision and non-precision hand tools.

    Ability to work well with fellow partners and promote a team environment.

    Ability to effectively communicate with customers and partners in written and verbal form.

    Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays.

    ****Education, Experience, and Qualifications****

    High school Diploma or GED and one or more years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and/or higher education required.

    Minimum of 18 years of age required.

    Food Handler certification required.

    TABC/LACT certification required where applicable.

    ****Physical Demands****

    Continuously required to use close vision, distance vision, depth perception or the ability to focus.

    Continuously required to stand or walk.

    Frequently required to talk and hear.

    Frequently required to use hands for reaching, touching or handling.

    Frequently required to push, pull, maneuver or lift objects up to 40 lbs.

    Occasionally required to push, pull, maneuver or lift objects up to 75 lbs.

    Occasionally required to bend, kneel or squat.

    Attendance at work is required.

    ****Work Context and Environment****

    Work is generally performed in a retail store.

    Frequently exposed to hot and cold surfaces.

    Occasionally exposed to extreme cold conditions (non-weather).

    Occasionally exposed to extreme heat conditions (non-weather).

    Occasionally exposed to wet, slippery or damp conditions.

    Occasionally exposed to cleaning agents.

    Quiet to moderate noise level.
