    Job Overview:

    As a Pharmacy Technician Certified at Trinitas Regional Medical Center, you will work under the supervision of a Pharmacist. Your responsibilities will include filling routine orders for unit doses and prepackaged pharmaceuticals, performing routine duties, rounding on nursing units, delivering medication, refilling pyxis machines, completing unit inspections, answering phones, and assisting with inquiries.

    Qualifications:

    Required:

    • High School Diploma or GED

    Preferred:

    • Board of Pharmacy PTCB

    Certifications and Licenses Required:

    • Registration with the State of New Jersey at the time of hire and Certification approved by New Jersey

    Scheduling Requirements:

    • Monday-Friday 3-11PM shift
    • Rotating 3-11PM every other weekend
    • Rotating to cover the overnight shift
    • Full-time role with shift differentials for evening and night shifts provided

    Essential Functions:

    • Answers telephone promptly, identifies self and department, and assists the caller
    • Takes accurate messages
    • Ensures customer satisfaction
    • Maintains department cleanliness and orderliness
    • Follows procedures for correcting issues with equipment
    • Performs medication delivery rounds and inventory control tasks
    • Restocks pharmacy dispensing area and maintains inventory
    • Processes emergency drug containers and documents controlled substances dispensing
    • Assists in pharmacy functions under pharmacist supervision
    • Files, delivers, and credits patient medications as assigned
    • Expedites medication delivery and ensures safe storage of medications
    • Checks drug dosages and monitors drug use
    • Reports medical errors and ensures safety protocols
    • Performs quality control tasks
