    Summary:

    The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology for the WMC Health Network is seeking a third Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgeon to join our Division of Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery & Complex Family Planning across various locations.

    This is an employed position within our academic group practice with comprehensive benefits and occurrence malpractice insurance. Salary will be commensurate with candidate experience and qualifications.


    Responsibilities:


    We are seeking a candidate who is committed to teaching residents and medical students and interested in conducting research and other scholarly activities.

    Westchester Medical Center serves as the primary teaching affiliate for New York Medical College, one of the nation's largest medical schools.

    The successful candidate will be eligible for faculty appointment at New York Medical College.


    Other:
    Our department has a growing OB-GYN residency program (currently 16 categorical residents and one preliminary resident). We are in the application process for a MIGS Fellowship through AAGL.

    We are seeking a fellowship-trained MIGS surgeon who can participate in the direction of our Fellowship while growing our practice across the WMC Health Network.

    Clinical duties for this position include office consultations, office-based procedures, inpatient and ambulatory surgery, hospital consultation, after hours call from home, and travel across sites as we expand our footprint.

    This position has no obstetrics requirements.


    Qualifications / Requirements:
    Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology Eligibility to obtain a New York State medical license Completion of a Fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic SurgeryExcellent clinical, communication, and interpersonal skillsCommitment to educating fellows, residents, and medical studentsDemonstrated experience with research or other scholarly activities Share a patient-centered team-based work ethicWillingness to expand services throughout the health care networkProficiency in Spanish is helpful but not required
