    Description:

    Summary:
    Responsible for assisting employees and handling clean and soiled linens on a daily basis.

    Monitor stock and inventory levels within the Uniform Room department, and will work under the direction of the Housekeeping Manager.


    Essential Functions:

    • Receive and sort soiled and dry cleaned linens on a daily basis
    • Anticipate employee needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all employees regardless of workload and time of day
    • Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, procedures, and standards
    • Maintain a close liaison with laundry service company to ensure the service provided meets hotel standards
    • Complete the uniform shipping and receiving log for all linens sent and received from the subcontractor
    • Monitor and maintain the cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas
    • Report all shortages, damages, maintenance requests, problems, and linen availability to management in a timely manner
    • Monitor and maintain designated supply levels on a daily basis
    • Turn in all lost and found items from employee uniforms to the management
    • Accept and receive uniform room deliveries
    • Perform other duties assigned

    • Previous experience working in a same or similar position preferred
    • Ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision as well as working cohesively with other employees as part of a team
    • Able to work with the public and employees in a friendly, professional manner
    • Must be well organized and able to follow through in a timely manner
    • Able to understand and anticipate employee service needs
    • Ability to work efficiently and remain calm in a fast paced, noisy environment
    • Able to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal
    • Ability to perform basic computer skills
    • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
    • Must be at least 18 years of age

    • Able to walk, stand, bend, kneel or stoop (up to 75% of the time)
    • Ability to sit at a desk or table (up to 25% of the time)
    • Able to push, pull and maneuver uniforms and bins weighing up to 100 pounds
    • Ability to work under variable weather conditions both indoors and outdoors
    • Able to distinguish between shades of color
    • Vision, hearing, speaking (critical)
    • Use tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity
