    In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive safety programs, conducting safety audits and inspections, along with providing training and guidance to employees on safety best practices.


    You will facilitate and deliver the effective and efficient provision of standardized EH&S services and functional support to all Race Winning Brands operations in the Detroit area.

    This role will support and develop effective local EH&S management and strong safety culture to support business objectives.

    This position reports to the Corporate EH&S Manager.


    Responsibilities:
    Develop, implement, and manage regional safety programs to prevent accidents, injuries, and illnesses.
    Conduct comprehensive safety audits and inspections of facilities, equipment, and work processes to identify and mitigate hazards.
    Investigate safety incidents, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.

    Provide safety training and education to employees on various topics, including hazard identification, risk assessment, safe work procedures, and emergency response protocols.

    Stay up to date on relevant safety regulations and standards (e.g., OSHA, EPA) and ensure compliance across all regional operations.

    Maintain accurate and complete safety documentation, including incident reports, training records, and inspection reports.
    Collaborate with regional managers, supervisors, and employees to promote a safe work environment.
    Conduct safety awareness campaigns and initiatives to foster a culture of safety within the organization.
    Drive manager and supervisor ownership and leadership of the system and safety culture.
    Drive employee participation and local safety culture.

    Requirements

    Bachelor's degree in occupational safety and health (OSH), Safety Science, or a related field (preferred).
    Minimum of 10 years of experience in a safety professional role, preferably within a similar industry.
    Advanced Certification preferred, CSP, ASP, CIH.
    Proven experience in developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive safety programs.
    Strong understanding of relevant safety regulations and standards (e.g., OSHA, EPA).
    Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
    Ability to travel regionally as needed.
    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
