    ResponsibilitiesAscension Medical Group is seeking a highly motivated, confident, and energetic full time Gastroenterologist to join our team.
    This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to join a well established gastroenterology group. Must be Board Eligible/Board Certified in
    Gastroenterology, open to new fellows.


    Position Highlights:

    • General/ Traditional Outpatient & Inpatient GI
    • Full spectrum general adult gastroenterology (18 & older)
    • Excellent opportunity to be busy right away (established patient volume exists)
    • Strong primary care referral base
    • APP support
    • EUS available
    • Office located 10 minutes from hospital
    • Ambulatory Outpatient Care Center available 5 days per week for procedures
    • Ambulatory Outpatient Procedures also available at Hospital weekly
    • ERCP training is ideal, not requiredResponsibilities:Evaluates and treats patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills.Recommends, participates in, and works to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients.Accepts patient referrals from other physicians. Acts as consulting physician for patients who require hospitalization for primary medical diagnoses, depending on needs of patients, medical staff and hospital.Participates in academic programs (e.g. medical education and research) as requested.Provides appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements; appeal all denials in a timely manner.Participates in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty, which may include on call schedules.

    RequirementsLicensure/Certification/Registration:
    Required Credential(s):Physician MD/DO with Prescriptive Authority credentialed from the Michigan Board of Medicine.
    Preferred Credential(s):Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA)

    Education:


    Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Optometry (OD) or Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) required.
