    Position Overview: As a Job Captain at Identity Architects, you will play a crucial role in the coordination and execution of architectural projects, overseeing the development of construction documents and supporting the project management team. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, project management abilities, and a passion for design excellence.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's or master's degree in architecture from an accredited institution required.
    • years of experience in architectural design and project coordination, preferably within an architectural firm or related industry.
    • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other architectural software platforms.
    • Strong technical skills in building construction, detailing, and building systems integration.
    • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
    • Professional licensure or progress toward licensure preferred but not required.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Project Coordination:

    • Collaborate with project architects, designers, and engineers to translate design concepts into detailed construction documents.
    • Coordinate the preparation and production of architectural drawings, specifications, and other project documentation.
    • Review and integrate input from consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with building codes and standards.
    • Facilitate communication between project teams, clients, and contractors to resolve design issues and ensure project continuity.

    Construction Documentation:

    • Lead the development and refinement of architectural plans, elevations, sections, and details throughout the design process.
    • Prepare accurate and comprehensive construction drawings, schedules, and specifications for permitting and construction purposes.
    • Ensure clarity, consistency, and coordination of information within construction documents to facilitate efficient project execution.
    • Incorporate sustainable design principles, building performance metrics, and energy efficiency strategies into project documentation as appropriate.

    Quality Assurance:

    • Conduct thorough reviews of construction documents to verify accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements.
    • Identify and resolve design conflicts, discrepancies, and coordination issues through proactive communication and collaboration.
    • Implement quality control procedures to maintain the integrity and consistency of project documentation throughout the design process.
    • Participate in on-site inspections and construction administration activities to monitor construction progress and address field-related issues.

    Project Support:

    • Assist project managers in developing project schedules, budgets, and work plans to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
    • Provide technical support and guidance to project teams, interns, and junior staff members as needed.
    • Contribute to design discussions, design development meetings, and client presentations to support project goals and objectives.
    • Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to architectural design and construction.
