    An industry leader in commercial HVAC product manufacturing is currently seeking a Technical Sales Consultant to be based in the southern Pittsburg area. Responsibilities include becoming a subject matter expert on a specific product line and promoting sales to engineering and architectural firms on a national level.

    This is remote position based in the Pittsburg.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Effectively cold call top US engineering firms to establish business relationships and prospect for sales opportunities
    • Conduct presales calls with client teams to qualify current and future business needs
    • Schedule meetings with internal sales and engineering teams with client stakeholders to qualify needs, present solutions and close sales
    • Capture data on top engineering firms through research and meetings to maintain detailed information in the CRM
    • Review engineering specification(s) received, document all recommended changes and add applicable products that meet the recommended specification
    • Acts as a liaison between customers, Manufacturer Reps and internal teams in analyzing client needs and making optimal product recommendations
    • Receives and distributes RFQ packages. Builds and submits quotations, usually through customer portal applications
    • Track vital and high-value orders to ensure successful delivery and implementation
    • Other Duties/Projects as assigned by business management as needed.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • 2 + years sales experience Insides sales, pre-sales, sales engineering experience for a mechanical product line
    • BA or MA degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering required
    • A strong understanding of mechanical drawings and geometric and dimensional tolerances
    • Able to travel 50% of the time to visit client sites, attend industry conventions and attend network with trade associations.
    • Excellent communication skills and the ability to deliver value in the company and solution
    • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment, manage multiple tasks concurrently and make concise business decisions that deliver desired business outcome
