Job Description - Art Teacher at KIPP Minnesota

Position Overview

As the Art Teacher at KIPP North Star, you will play a key role in instructing students and promoting a culture of excellence within the school. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver engaging art lessons that drive student achievement.

Primary Responsibilities

Implement school-wide student management policies
Create and teach challenging lessons in Art
Assist in curriculum development
Maintain communication with parents
Create a positive classroom environment
Ensure a clean and professional classroom setting
Participate in school duties and meetings
Utilize data to enhance instruction
Seek continuous improvement through feedback and professional growth

Qualifications

Desired Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Education
MN teaching license in Visual Arts
Experience in differentiated instruction
Strong classroom management skills
Effective communication abilities
Capacity to build relationships with students, parents, and colleagues

Highly Preferred

Experience in underserved or communities of color

Compensation

Salary: $44,880+
