    Our Battery Team is made of diverse engineers focused on advancing EV Battery Technology.

    Members of this team work cross functionally with versatile engineers to create efficient, safe battery systems to make EVs available to more people.

    We want like minded people to advance our vision and mission in this area. The Battery Electrical DRE is essential to this mission through effective design and release of mechanical components.


    What you get to do:


    Coordinate the release of designs, obtain design approvals, ensure designs are manufacturable, component readiness, track piece cost, investment & mass, support future design direction, lead, and facilitate resolution of component issues.

    Lead design changes through change management process, and support supplier quality assurance & warranty resolution.

    Coordinate with suppliers (through Development Phases (Alpha, Beta, PV, Product intent) and internal teams (Chief Engineer, architecture, purchasing, program manager, and quality engineers) to ensure the successful launch and release.

    Define, complete and supervise component design verification test plans and reporting with a mix of internal and external resourcesWork with suppliers to drive designs forward, including supporting DFM, cost exercises and manufacturing line reviewSupport production ramp and field problem resolutionResponsible for linking component level requirements with battery pack level targets and requirements accordinglTranslate battery pack level requirements into component level requirementssManage component Bill of Materials and ensure requirements flow down to design/procurement activitiesParticipate in internal battery system design reviews, including CAE analysis and interfacing battery systemsWhat you bring to the team:
    Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering or a closely related engineering degree from an ABET accredited universityMinimum 5 years of engineering experience in the field of power electronics (research graduate work may count towards experience)

    Experienced in validating and releasing of Mechanical/Electrical Components for Automotive applicationsSelf-starter with strong leadership, interpersonal skills, and proven problem solving abilityExperience with Design Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (DFMEA) and Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R)Understanding of manufacturing and quality processes of electrical componentsProven ability to work in a diverse team environmentPreferred Qualifications:
    Master degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering or a closely related engineering degree from an ABET accredited universityComponents releasing experienceKnowledge in electrified powertrain propulsion systemsKnowledge in Power ElectronicsDesign for Six Sigma (DFSS) green / black-beltKnowledgeable in use of Teamcenter or similar software with experience in CATIA in a production release environmentWe want to work with people that reflect the communities in which we operate:
