    Duties


    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    Sells a limited variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages food credit items, prepackaged snacks and candy. Operates cash register, rings up the sale, receives money and makes change and processes credit card sales.

    At the end of each tour of duty clears the cash register and turns over cash and supporting documents as instructed.

    Conducts daily inventories. Maintains area in clean and orderly condition.

    May preform related food service duties such as assisting in setting up a buffet line, replenishing beverage dispensers, and ensuring kitchen staff is advised when buffet line needs replenishment.


    On-the-Course Duties:
    Operates a beverage cart on the course, selling alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, sandwiches and snacks. Serves patrons directly and receives payment and makes and returns change to patrons. Sets up beverage cart for operation and obtains cash bank. Stocks cart with buckets of ice, soda, beer, snacks, sandwiches, hot dogs, etc. Makes cold sandwiches using prepared ingredients.

    Prepares hot dogs using the hot dog machine, Preforms inventory of beverage cart at the beginning and end of each shift.

    Responsible for the daily cleaning of the hot dog machine. Performs inventory of beverage cart at the beginning and end of each shift. May be required to prepare documentation for cash funds accountability. Cleans and washes beverage cart and removes all shift. May be required to prepare documentation for cash funds accountability.     • This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
    • Must meet the appropriate minimum age requirement for working with and/or serving alcoholic beverages.
    • This position requires a valid driver's license.
    • This position is subject to a pre-employment drug test and random testing thereafter.
    • Must be able to obtain a Food Handler's Certificate and/or complete food handler's training.

    In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below.

    Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).

    You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

    Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.


    Qualifying Experience:


    Must have experience in responsible clerical or office work work includes demonstrated ability to perform common arithmetic problems, and making change when receiving payments from customers.

    Must also have experience in the receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit or other processing of cash items when this includes (1) direct handling of cash items, and (2) use of cash accountability control methods.

    Must have experience selling alcoholic beverages. Must be able to follow simple oral instructions. Must be physically able to frequently lift objects weighing 25 lbs. Must be at least 19 years of age. Must be able to obtain a Food Handler's Certificate and/or complete food handler's training. Must be able to communicate orally and in writing. Must possess skill in dealing with the public. Subject to an uncommon tour of duty.

    Position is subject to furlough from approximately 1 November to 31 March of each year due to business slowdown caused by weather.

    A valid driver's license is required. A National Agency Check (NAC) is required. This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use.

    Education

    Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.


    FOREIGN EDUCATION:
    Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements.

    You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S.

    education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
