    The Director of Talent supervises and guides the day-to-day operations of our Talent team. The role is responsible for designing and operating programs that impact the performance of all employees and for setting, enforcing, and evaluating legally compliant employment policies, procedures, and best practices.

    Our Director of Talent will be responsible for the following:
    • General
      • Direct management and supervision of a team of Talent professionals;
      • Recruit, interview, hire, and train members of the Talent team;
      • Oversee the daily workflow of the Talent team;
      • Lead the development and implementation of effective strategies to attract, retain, and develop top talent within the Company;
      • Maintain knowledge of and compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws, regulations, and best practices in employment law, human resources, and talent management, including providing guidance on immigration, worker's compensation, and other HR-related laws;
      • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in talent management, and make recommendations for continuous improvement to drive organizational performance;
      • Identify key performance indicators for the Company's talent management functions and assess the Company's success and market competitiveness based on these metrics;
      • Conduct research and provide data analysis on industry best practices and trends to inform and drive talent strategy and decision-making;
      • Act as a strategic partner to the senior leaders, providing guidance and support on all talent-related matters;
      • Collaborate with leadership to support the overall strategic goals and objectives of the Company by aligning talent resources and programs with the Company's mission, vision, and values;
      • Continuously monitor and improve talent-related processes, procedures and policies to ensure they are in line with the Company's goals and objectives; and
      • Create, update and revise process and program documentation to ensure compliance and consistent execution and application.
    • Talent Management
      • Create and maintain a comprehensive talent management framework including performance management, employee development, succession planning, and career pathways;
      • Develop and implement talent management strategies, initiatives, and programs that support the recruitment, development, and retention of high-performing employees;
      • Oversee employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and employee engagement initiatives;
      • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, investigations, and complaints;
      • Handle discipline and termination of employees in accordance with Company policy;
      • Improve employee performance and productivity by managing the performance management process, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and career development plans;
      • Develop and implement employee engagement and recognition programs to increase employee satisfaction and retention; and
      • Maintain an environment of equal opportunity, diversity of experience and pursuit of excellence.
    • Talent Development
      • Conduct presentations and training;
      • Support employee development and growth by implementing and managing employee training and development programs, including onboarding, employee orientation, ongoing professional development and cross-functional materials;
      • Collaborate with leaders and managers to identify high-potential employees and create development plans to accelerate their growth and advance their careers;
      • Coordinate external and develop internal leadership training programs to support continuing education for advanced and functional leadership;
      • Research and assist in the development of performance management training programs focusing on the technical aspects of all core operational positions; and
      • Manage the maintenance and execution of the performance management systems including job descriptions, standards of performance and performance evaluations.
    • Talent Acquisition
      • Lead the talent acquisition process, including identifying hiring needs, developing job descriptions, and partnering with recruitment teams to attract and select top talent.
      • Serve as a business partner with hiring managers to develop effective sourcing and recruitment strategies
      • Develop effective relationships within the Company and hiring community to influence and impact the recruiting process and results;
      • Develop and implement creative and innovative sourcing strategies and techniques to build a pipeline of qualified candidates;
      • Collaborate with local partners, such as the University system to develop internship programs and successful academic to industry transitions for entry level talent.
    We are looking for an executive who possesses:
    • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university;
    • SHRM CP or SCP;
    • 10+ years of talent or HR experience including talent management, performance management and talent development;
    • Minimum of five years' experience in resolution of complex employee relations issues;
    • Experience designing, developing and supporting company-wide talent management programs that cover performance management, talent development, coaching, succession planning, data analytics and relationship management;
    • Strong leadership abilities with the ability to inspire and motivate others to achieve results;
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of an organization;
    • Solid understanding of talent practices and employment laws;
    • Proficient in using HRIS systems and talent management software;
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect and analyze data to inform talent management decisions;
    • Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines;
    • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and changing environment and drive change within an organization;
    • Proven ability to operate well with ambiguity, and assist others in navigating and defining structure;
    • Demonstrates strong critical thinking, conflict management, reasoning and problem-solving skills;
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, detail oriented, ability to multitask efficiently and meet deadlines;
    • Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions in a manner consistent with the essential job functions;
    • Strong partnership building skills to engage effectively as a consultant and advisor to the board, executives, and company management; and
    • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Google Suite.
    Compensation:
    • The anticipated salary for this position is $150,000 to $175,000 annually. This position is exempt.
    • Annual Management Bonus of 20% to 50% of salary based upon Company performance.
    • Company matched 401K retirement plan that is fully vested immediately.
