    Duties


    • You will oversee all resource requirements, planning, coordination and execution of exercises in the areas of Air Warfare (AW), Surface Warfare (SUW), Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW), Mine Warfare (MIW) and Amphibious Warfare (AMW).
    • You will coordinate and execute Surface Warfare Advance Tactical Training (SWATT), a training event with both in-port and underway events for all pre-deployment units.
    • You will oversee exercise control procedures and battle rhythm, watch station requirements and daily products
    You will ensure compliance with individual Tactical Training Range procedures.


    • You will coordinate with the Performance Assessment Cell (active duty CDR/0-5, government civilian (GS-13/14) and/or contractor) in establishing training objectives, accompanying Event Cards and data collection and analysis requirements.
    • You will define the specific program goals in relation to SWATT, and ensure the establishment of supporting goals and milestones in coordination with functional elements to ensure optimum execution in terms of schedule, readiness, scope, and quality.
    • You will identify solutions in situations with competing agendas and interests, while maintaining cohesiveness in program effort and direction.
    • You will coordinate the efforts of the various internal constituent communities, contractors, other technical specialists, and administrative and support team members to accomplish programmatic goals and objectives.
    • You will assess program requirements and establishing program goals, mission, priorities, and resources, staffing, and supporting workload.
    • You will evaluate and interpret directives and policy instruction from DoD, DON, Fleet Commanders and the Type Commander regarding SWATT programs and projects.
    • You will make recommendations to develop/implement programs and attain goals that support National, US Navy and SMWDC interests.
    • You will oversee all phases of programs to ensure integration and coordination within established timeframes and maintains program goals and objectives consistent with commitments and policy as well as measurable performance criteria.
    • You will identify areas where slippage is occurring and determine required corrective action to bring execution in line with established schedules,
    • You will serve as a first line manager, where you will performing managerial duties, responsibilities, and authorities over a small staff (3-4 personnel) of government service and contractor staff.
    • You will direct allocation of resources to ensure objectives and commitments are effectively met
    You will make or recommend decisions to allocate resources and workload.


    • You will approve multi-year and long-range work plans developed by organizational units and subsequently manage the overall work to enhance achievement of goals and objectives

    • MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
    • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required

    You will be subject to random testing.


    • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites
    You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

    Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector overseeing operations for a tactical warfare and training program to include managing resource requirements, executing program analyses, and planning long-range objectives in order to eliminate barriers and improve overall mission readiness for naval fleet operations
