    About Dirt On Demand

    Dirt On Demand is a family-owned and operated company that specializes in providing innovative logistics solutions for the construction fill and aggregate material industry. With deep roots in civil engineering, our company was founded by Daniel Bergin—who, after years of witnessing firsthand the struggles owners, developers, and site contractors face with moving large quantities of fill and aggregates—decided to create a company dedicated solely to solving these challenges. Partnering with his wife, Vanessa, Daniel built Dirt On Demand to streamline fill and aggregate procurement, unsuitable export, hauling and transportation logistics, FDOT-specific materials delivery, and even civil engineering design/permitting. Our mission is to develop win-win solutions that reduce costs for our clients and enhance profitability for contractors.

    Job Summary

    As a Sales Representative for Dirt On Demand, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our clientele by establishing and nurturing strong relationships with owners, developers, site contractors, and civil engineering professionals. You will leverage your sales expertise and industry knowledge to illustrate the value of our specialized services, ensuring that every project benefits from creative and efficient logistics solutions.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Business Development:
    • Identify and prospect new business opportunities within Alachua and surrounding counties.
    • Develop and execute strategies to enter new markets and grow the client base.
    • Client Relationship Management:
    • Build, manage, and nurture professional relationships with key decision-makers.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for inquiries and specialized client needs.
    • Service Consultation & Proposal Development:
    • Understand and present the full scope of services including fill and aggregate procurement, unsuitable export, transportation logistics, FDOT-specific material needs, and civil engineering design/permitting.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to craft tailored proposals, quotes, and solutions that meet clients' project requirements.
    • Project Management:
    • Schedule and manage material deliveries daily through constant communication with suppliers, haulers and clients.
    • Review payables and receivables provided by Accounting Department to ensure that all projects meet anticipated profits.
    • Sales Targets and Reporting:
    • Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
    • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, opportunities, and client communications in the CRM system.
    • Industry Networking:
    • Represent Dirt On Demand at trade shows, industry events, and networking functions.
    • Build a strong network within the construction, aggregates, and logistics industries.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Educational Background:
    • An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
    • Professional Experience:
    • Must have 5 years of a proven track record in a sales role within the aggregates, and/or logistics industries.
    • Experience in working with civil engineering projects and a technical understanding of fill & aggregate logistics is required.
    • Skills and Competencies:
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
    • Strong presentation abilities and the capacity to articulate complex ideas in a clear, compelling manner.
    • In-depth knowledge or willingness to learn about the Fort Myers market and its surrounding counties.
    • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
    • Robust organizational and follow-up skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Additional Requirements:
    • Possession of a valid driver's license with readiness to travel within designated territories.
