    We're seeking a highly organized, client‐focused Pre‐Approval Specialist/Loan Officer Assistant whose primary responsibility is to take borrower applications and drive the pre‐approval process from start to finish.

    This role is the first point of contact for new clients and plays a critical part in ensuring borrowers are accurately evaluated, properly documented, and confidently prepared to move forward in the mortgage process.

    Your work will center on collecting applications, reviewing borrower qualifications, and issuing timely, accurate pre‐approvals while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

    • Verify all loan package documentation received is accurate and complete in accordance with company policy and procedures and report any discrepancies to the loan originator/ loan officer
    • Follow up and respond to customer and in-house inquiries on transactions as needed in order to provide superior customer service
    • Provide administrative support such as screening and making calls, booking appointments, etc.
    • Be the primary liaison between the mortgage loan officer and our clients and schedule meetings to discuss outstanding items
    • Assemble loan documentation as required necessary for verifications and underwriting such as loan files, loan packages, credit reports, and additional mortgage application paperwork

    Primary Focus:
    Application Intake & Pre‐Approval

    • Take new borrower applications and ensure all required information is collected accurately
    • Review credit reports, income documentation, assets, and liabilities to determine pre‐approval eligibility
    • Calculate income, assess credit strength, and identify any documentation gaps
    • Prepare and issue pre‐approval letters based on lending guidelines and company policy
    • Communicate proactively with borrowers to gather missing items and explain next steps Supporting Responsibilities
    • Track application progress and maintain detailed records within LOS/CRM systems
    • Serve as the main point of contact for borrowers and real estate partners during the pre‐approval stage
    • Coordinate with processing and underwriting teams to ensure a smooth transition once files move forward
    • Assist with pipeline management, follow‐ups, and status updates Qualifications:
    • 2-3 years of professional office environment and administration or mortgage experience preferred
    • Excellent customer service and communication skills and willing to go above and beyond for customers and team
    • 2-3 Years of Experience with Mortgage origination to include income calculation, file structuring, and loan program knowledge
    • Experience in mortgage lending, loan processing, or loan origination support preferred
    • Strong understanding of income calculation, credit analysis, and mortgage documentation
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Close attention to detail with strong organizational and multitasking abilities
    • Ability to manage multiple applications and deadlines simultaneously
    • Proficiency with mortgage LOS systems (Encompass, Blend, etc.) and MS Office; CRM, MLS, and DU experience preferred
    • Customer‐service‐driven mindset with a commitment to accuracy and teamwork

    Compensation:
    $50,000
