    $80,000 to $130,000 Annually + Benefits

    Variety of CNC Machines Utilized:

    Okuma, Mazak, FANUC, Brother, DMG, Mori Seiki, Matsuura, STAR, Tsugami, YASDA, Doosan, Toyoda, Haas

    Controls Used: FANUC, Siemens, Heidenhain, OSP, Okuma, Brother, Mazatrol, Mitsubishi

    SUMMARY

    The Manufacturing Engineer helps to develop, implement, and sustain machining and inspection processes that support our manufacturing operations. They will be engaged in all phases of the manufacturing effort from process design to the execution of the parts on the shop floor.

    ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Accountable for the manufacturing processes that deliver to the Business Plan. Machining, measurement, tooling, fixtures and CNC programs should be robust and designed to deliver Right First Time results and Product Flow to support best-in-industry manufacturing
    • Support capability acquisition and technology insertion necessary for product development and improvement in a very dynamic and competitive industry
    • Work closely with Design Engineering to evaluate and improve the manufacturability of products in the research and development stage as well as in mature production
    • Use engineering and manufacturing experience with independent judgment to evaluate, troubleshoot the machining process to improve tooling life, programming, and cycle time
    • Lead cross-functional teams to continuously improve processes and products
    • Communicate simply and effectively across all levels of the organization
    • Train machine operators on standard operating procedures and work instructions
    • Frequent work on the shop floor to execute new program and setups
    • Conventional machine shop experience along with 3 to 5 years of 4 5 axis CNC programming, insert tooling and machine tool operation experience
    • Knowledge of a wide range of manufacturing process types and applications
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Knowledge of GD&T use
    • Workholding selection and fixture design
    • Prepare work instructions and shop routers
    • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
    • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
    • High attention to detail and extremely organized

    Desired Experience

    • Experience using FeatureCAM, OptiCAM, PartMaker, PowerMill or NX
    • Ability to use all common inspection tools and gages
    • Basic ISO 9001 knowledge and understanding
    • Editing of CNC programs at the G and M Code level
    • BS in Engineering preferred
