- Build relationships within the organization by providing a communication conduit between the organization's Operating Companies and the corporate support departments.
- Operate and promote the company's core values and lead by example.
- Participates/works with departments through effective communication to ensure goals and synergy is maintained throughout the organization.
- Conduct job site visits as needed to provide support, observe and report the progress of the installation quality of the product, compliance to the contract and financial position. Works with the project teams to identify and mitigate any risks.
- Assist in the development and implementation of a company quality control program, company standards, procedures, codes, contract documents, etc. required to perform assigned work.
- Introduce, interact, train and encourage project teams with the implementation of corporate operational processes.
- Work with new hires to embody corporate culture and company work ethic.
- Has regular meetings with the Client to ensure performance satisfaction of Bernhard and the project team(s).
- Builds effective teams to deliver on our commitments for all projects. Works with other Vice Presidents on resource planning and placement of employees.
- Provides and can discuss detail of consolidated financial projections on the projects.
- Maintain healthy working relationship between various Company departments.
- Manage project financials and overall project health.
- Encourage positive Company culture and team ethics.
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture.
- Minimum 15 years' experience managing project in excess of $50MM.
- Experience with energy commercial construction projects with an emphasis on MEPF and Renewable Energy infrastructure in the Higher Education and Medical Markets.
- Strong accounting background with P&L experience.
- Heavy MEP knowledge is desired.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Versed in the industry and the Company's competitors.
- Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary.

Purpose and Essential Duties
The Vice President of Commercial Construction is responsible for representing the company's corporate commitment to brand consistency by providing the Executive Vice President with In-Progress performance reports of assigned projects and provide project teams with strategic planning, administrative processes, financial oversight, issue avoidance & mitigation, schedule adherence, QA/QC, and installation techniques.
