    Description


    Summary You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the COMPTROLLER DEPARTMENT (N8), DISBURSING, TRAVEL & PAYROLL (N84), COMPLIANCE & TRAVEL (N842), ORDER WRITING (N8422) of MILITARY SEALIFT COMMAND.

    Responsibilities You will be responsible for approval of travel authorizations and/or approval of travel vouchers. You will create, formulate, chart, and graph excel spreadsheets. You will research financial guides to locate accounting, budgetary and financial information and prepare summaries for use by managers.

    Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.


    Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

    Experience utilizing the Defense Travel System and must be a subject matter expert in the Joint Travel Regulations (JTR) with experience in both Travel Order Writing and Travel Order Liquidation.

    Experience in identifying travel restrictions, required travel training, area clearances, and overseas travel arrangements. Experience with Daily Expense Files, Central Billing Accounts, Financial Management Systems, and creating, formulating, charting and graphing excel spreadsheets.

    Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Education master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree. or LL.B. or J.D., if related Equivalent combinations of education and experience are qualifying for all grade levels for which both education and experience are acceptable.
