Starting pay is $65,000 per year
Work schedule is from Sunday night to Thursday night

Position Overview:

As a Shuttle Driver, you will have a crucial role in our operations by transporting empty trailers to warehouse locations and delivering full trailers safely and efficiently.

The Shuttle Driver operates various types of vehicles to transport trailers within state and interstate routes, ensuring compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.

This role involves timely delivery of full trailers to designated locations while maintaining professional communication with customers, vendors, and colleagues.

Acts as a team player within the organization, executing assigned tasks to support company needs

Main Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Performing all necessary safety checks (e.g., pre/post trip) following DOT regulations; inspecting vehicles to ensure compliance with safety standards
Reporting safety concerns and required repairs promptly
Adhering to all DOT regulations and company driving policies; reporting safety hazards immediately
Ensuring proper loading and securing of freight in trailers
Following predetermined route schedules for trailer delivery
Executing hook/unhook procedures safely
Parking and organizing tractor trailers in assigned areas
Securing all equipment and freight adequately
Handling damaged goods and customer returns appropriately
Unloading equipment, materials, and managing trash from trailers
Maintaining accurate records of service hours in compliance with regulatory requirements
Performing general upkeep tasks in vehicles and loading dock areas
Fulfilling other assigned duties as needed

Essential Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
Minimum of 6 months experience with tractor/trailers
Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement
Minimum 21 years of age
Compliance with State licensing and/or certification requirements
Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past 3 years
Successful completion of pre-employment drug test and road test
Possession of current DOT Health Card or ability to obtain one
Capability to lift and handle product cases/freight ranging from 60 to 90 pounds

Preferred Qualifications

1+ years of commercial driving experience
Background in foodservice distribution industry
Familiarity with onboard computer and electronic log systems (e.g., PeopleNet)
Experience with hand-held point of delivery scanning systems (e.g., POD)
