ABOUT US
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Purchasing Associate is responsible for supporting the procurement team in sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing high-quality goods and services for our company.
They will collaborate closely with various departments to understand their needs, maintain vendor relationships, and implement cost-effective strategies to optimize the procurement process.
Key Responsibilities:
Vendor Management:
Identify, evaluate, and develop relationships with suppliers to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
Negotiate terms and conditions with vendors to secure favorable agreements and maintain positive supplier relationships.

Order Processing:
Process purchase orders and ensure accurate and timely delivery of products and services.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and requirements.

Cost Optimization:
Conduct market research to identify cost-effective suppliers without compromising product or service quality.
Analyze pricing proposals, terms, and conditions to negotiate favorable agreements and achieve cost savings.

Inventory Management:
Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
Work closely with the warehouse team to optimize inventory turnover and minimize carrying costs.
Arrange inbound and outbound shipments.

Compliance and Documentation:
Ensure procurement activities adhere to company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
Maintain accurate and organized documentation related to purchases, contracts, and vendor communications.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
Excellent computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Docs and Sheets, and procurement software.
Previous experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain roles is preferred.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
High school diploma or GED required
Associate degree preferred
Physical Requirements:
Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
Must be able to work 40 hours a week
