    About Baxter's Cleveland, MS Facility:

    Cleveland's technology and automation are state-of-the-art. It serves as the exclusive U.S. source for plastic pour bottles, glass IV solutions, and various reconstitution devices. This facility manufactures multiple crucial product lines utilizing a diverse range of automated manufacturing technologies, including solution filling, injection molding, tubing extrusion, and device assembly.

    Our Cleveland plant has been a vital part of Baxter for over 70 years. The work is demanding yet fulfilling, with Baxter offering competitive compensation and benefits.     Your role at Baxter:

    This position plays a key role in the Injection Molding, Devices, and Biosurgery Operations. The main focus will be on implementing continuous improvement initiatives, new business ventures, and capacity expansion projects. Additionally, there will be an emphasis on enhancing manufacturing equipment reliability and providing process support within the Injection Molding, Devices, and Biosurgery Operations. This role also involves cross-functional project management.

    What you'll be doing:

    • Designing/modifying precision assembly and/or manufacturing equipment
    • Managing multiple projects autonomously
    • Providing estimates for various tasks and projects
    • Overseeing capital projects directly and through coordination with engineers
    • Driving Continuous Improvement Activities
    • Collaborating with plant and corporate teams, contractors, and vendors
    • Overseeing start-up, debugging, and commissioning of new manufacturing processes
    • Managing equipment and product life cycles
    • Offering technical support and troubleshooting across all plant departments
    • Demonstrating proactive communication and effective problem-solving
    • Supporting and achieving Value Improvement Projects (VIP's)
    • Ensuring adherence to FDA Design Control standards and department SOPs

    What you'll bring:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Required (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or Computer degrees are preferred)
    • 5 years or more of Engineering/Manufacturing experience. FDA manufacturing preferred.
    • Programming/troubleshooting experience with automation controls, assembly systems, PLC's, HMI's, servo's, and vision inspection systems is preferred.
    • Design software experience (e.g., AutoCAD, Solid Works, etc.) is beneficial
    • Six Sigma Master Black Belt Certification or equivalent is a plus
    • Plastics experience such as blow molding, injection molding, silicone molding, or extrusion is advantageous
    • Project Management skills and experience including Microsoft Project software
    • Lean Manufacturing skills and experience

    We recognize that compensation plays a vital role in your career decisions. At Baxter, we are dedicated to fair pay for all employees and strive for transparency in our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position ranges from $88,000 to $121,000 annually. This range is a reflection of the anticipated salary based on market data and other factors, subject to change. Individual compensation is determined by location, skills, expertise, experience, and relevant factors.
