    Responsibilities



    Job Summary

    The DE&I and Social Impact team is committed to driving change internally and externally. Through purposeful Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) efforts and strategic programming with national and local nonprofits, we are able to make a difference for our employees and the communities we serve.

    The DE&I/Social Impact and HR Specialist will play an integral role in driving our DE&I strategy and engaging employees in our community efforts. The specialist will be responsible for telling the company's DE&I story through partnership with our DE&I Advisory Board, Business Resource Groups, and other stakeholders, as well as building employee engagement around our charitable initiatives and employee recognition program.

    Key Responsibilities:

      Content Development and Digital Resources
      • Source and compile content to help tell the employee brand story.
      • Oversee employee-facing DE&I resource center, external website presence and volunteer portal.
      • Create toolkits for BRGs and DE&I initiatives to help groups easily activate DE&I programming company-wide and at the local level.

    • DE&I
      • Help research best practices and strategies to deliver purposeful execution and change in policies, procedures, and culture.
      • Provide support to Business Resource Groups (BRGs) - help identify cultural and business-relevant topics, internal and external speakers and materials needed for programs and initiatives.
      • Assist with preparing presentations to internal stakeholders, including the DE&I Advisory Board and Leadership.
      • Provide support around data collection and metrics monitoring to communicate our DE&I story effectively.
    • Social Impact
      • Manage Benjamin Moore's corporate volunteer efforts and lead the annual month of service.
      • Support community champions across the organization - update guidelines, review volunteer opportunities, answer questions and distribute volunteer materials.
      • Serve as the liaison with national and local partners to ensure accurate and timely in-kind donations.
      • Vet potential nonprofit partners and donation requests.
      • Help compile information for annual Corporate Responsibility Report.
    • Employee Engagement Coordination
      • Lead the implementation of employee recognition objectives and manage/administer recognition programs, including system maintenance, budget, expenses, program awareness, and communication calendar.
      • Execute the engagement plan throughout the onboarding journey, supporting the onboarding process and ensuring an excellent experience for new employees.
      • Implement and track new hire surveys, stay interviews, and pulse surveys to monitor employee engagement and trends.




    Qualifications



    Requirements:

    • Major in Communications, Social Impact/Corporate Social Responsibility, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I), or Human Resources
    • 1-3 years of relevant experience
    • Knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    Additional skills:

    • Experience with social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok), preferred
    • Working knowledge of editing software (Camtasia, Photoshop), preferred
