    The Opportunity

    Delaware North Sportservice is hiring seasonal Laundry Attendants to join our team at Progressive Field in Cleveland, Ohio.     Responsibilities

  • Operate and tend the machines including washing and drying articles, such as shirts, uniforms, pants, towels, and other linens ensuring the correct volume of detergent, water, bleach, starch, and other additives are used as needed
  • Transport uniform bags and other laundry supplies to concessions stands throughout the stadium
  • Sort, count and put away articles removed from dryers, maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the laundry closet
  • Inspect soiled articles to determine sources of stains, locate color imperfections, and to identify items requiring special treatment
  • Record all loads washed and dried to calculate productivity including loss of linens due to stains, tears and wear
  • Use of spreadsheets for inventory control
  • All other duties assigned

    Qualifications

  • Ability to work effectively with others in fast-paced environments, using effective communication skills with guests and team members
  • At least 1 year previous experience with laundry/inventory
  • Basic math skills
  • Laundry worker experience in a hotel or other high-volume location is beneficial

    Physical Requirements

  • Exposure to varying temperatures depending on weather and how many machines are in operation at any given time
  • Frequent standing, bending, walking, and lifting during shifts
