Our entertainment & film client in Studio City, CA (North Los Angeles) is searching for a Controller to manage the day-to-day accounting & finance functions including assisting the VP Finance with financial analysis and reporting This position will manage a team of 2.

Responsibilities as the Controller:
Bank reconciliations for multiple bank accounts and multiple currencies in Quickbooks Online.

Produce monthly, quarterly and yearly P&L and balance sheets for various companies that are part of/affiliated with the parent company.

Handle some invoicing and collections across various projectsResponsible for Payroll processing, onboarding new employees, managing the corporate health insurance plan and 401k.

Oversee production and post-production accounting - managing multiple freelance production accountants, monitoring actual spend vs budget.

Qualifications for the Controller position:

5+ years of accounting experience with at least 2+ years of supervisory/management experienceQuickBooks experience is preferredBudgeting/forecasting and variance analysis experience preferredBachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or relatedExcellent communication skills

Compensation for the Controller role is $130,000 to $150,000 depending on experience plus full benefits including almost fully covered medical insurance, a 401k plan, 4 weeks' vacation, and more
