- Substitute for classroom teachers or instructional paraprofessionals
- Assist in the campus office as needed
- Must have completed at least two years of study at an institution of higher education; (have completed at least 30 college hours) or
- Obtained an associate's (or higher) degree
- Valid Texas Educational Aide Certificate or be willing to obtain upon hire and complete fingerprinting requirements
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
- Good interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well with students and staff
- Some experience working with children
- Substitute for a classroom teacher or instructional paraprofessional
- Assist with work assignments
- Maintain a neat and orderly classroom
- Assist with inventory, care, and maintenance of equipment
- Assist teachers with administrative records and prepare required reports
- Conduct instructional exercises assigned by the teacher, work with individual students or small groups
- Supervise students throughout the school day, inside and outside the classroom (lunchroom, bus, and playground)
- Keep the teacher informed of the special needs or problems of individual students
- Assist in the campus office
- Participate in staff development training programs to improve job performance
- Participate in faculty meetings and special events
- Other duties as assigned
