    Electrical Controls Engineer Description
    Our client is looking for a Controls Engineer to add to their team in Dallas, TX.

    You will develop custom PLC and HMI programs and designs for pre-packaged pumping stations for different applications such as, water boosters, HVAC and HX systems, fire protection pump systems, etc.

    You will work with the electrical engineering team to produce electrical schematics and collaborate with the production team for the manufacture and testing of control panels in addition to providing technical support both remotely, and on-site at customer locations.

    Qualified candidates will have at least two (2) years of electrical engineering experience working with PLCs, VFDs, control panels, etc.

    with a basic understanding of PLC logic. Candidates must also have technical knowledge/experience with pumps, water flow and/or fans and understand how to read electrical schematics.

    Electrical Controls Engineer Responsibilities


    Design control systems for pumping stations in HVAC, fire, and plumbing applications


    Create electrical schematics using AutoCAD


    Write software for PLC programs in Ladder, Function Block, Instruction List and Structured Text


    Design HMI touch screens


    Create IOM manuals


    Provide technical support to customers


    Troubleshoot problems during testing and commissioning


    Commission new pumping stations; test systems for performance and safety
    Electrical Controls Engineer Qualifications


    2+ years of electrical engineering experience required


    Basic understanding of PLC logic required


    Technical knowledge/experience with pumps, water flow and/or fans required


    Ability to read electrical schematics required


    Computer proficiency and in Microsoft Office suite tools required


    Willingness/ability to travel up to 25% (domestic, some overnight stays) required
