    Description

    Dense Air (DA) builds and operates Open RAN "neutral host" networks. DA's single shared architecture provides a secure, seamless, and simultaneous experience for mobile network operators, ISPs, enterprise private networks, and municipal use cases.

    Main Purpose of the Job:

    RAN Design Manager is a role within our RAN Engineering team, based in USA. The successful individual will be responsible for Developing and supporting RAN planning process for all DA networks. This will also include developing and validating Neutral Host O-RAN based RAN planning processes for deployments in shared and licensed spectrum.

    There will also be a requirement to engage and support in RAN planning design activities for indoor and outdoor deployments.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • and optimizing processes for design, development, infrastructure evaluation and selection, and rollout resulting in optimum system design solutions for all DA Networks
    • RF Design vendors ( internal or external, including pricing negotiation and design deliverables and design schedules
    • with implementation team to create BOM and track the build
    • to internal organizations and provide needed support for proposal development
    • planning for CBRS indoor and outdoor deployments
    • and Validate Neutral Host O-RAN based network planning processes for deployments in shared and licensed spectrum
    • link budget analysis, design criteria, coverage & traffic/capacity analysis
    • RF network design and planning activities using industry standard planning tool(Atoll/iBwave)
    • data integrity of various morphology/topography databases and drive test data for model calibration
    • Other duties appropriate to the post as may be assigned from time to time by the Senior Management

    Education and Experience:

    • At least 7 years' experience in 4G RAN planning.
    • Understanding and knowledge with 5G/ORAN especially ORAN planning
    • Detailed knowledge and experience of RAN rollout lifecycle
    • Experience with network planning tools such as iBwave, ATOLL, Planet etc.
    • Any experience of transport network planning valuable
    • Degree in Engineering
