- The Remanufacturing Technician will perform disassembly, cleaning, requalification, rework, and assembly operations on Traction Motor Combo components using manual and automated equipment following quality procedures.
- Inspect completed work on components based on internal inspection criteria for compliance with quality and engineering requirements.
- Responsible for working safely to support lean manufacturing principles, such as single-piece flow and meeting required takt time.
- In certain cases, special processes like welding or non-destructive testing may be necessary, requiring specific process training or certification.
- Conduct work safely in adherence to all EHS policies and procedures.
- Offer manufacturing support for manufacturing or remanufacturing of UX Traction Motor Combo components at the facility.
- Utilize manual and automated production equipment, hydraulic or pneumatic tools, in accordance with in-house manufacturing and quality procedures to ensure products meet specified requirements.
- Inspect completed work on components according to internal inspection criteria for compliance with quality and engineering requirements using fixtures, precision measuring devices, or testing protocols.
- Approve the process documentation for each work step performed.
- Process components as required by internal processing guidelines.
- Perform any additional duties as needed.
- High school diploma / GED preferred.
- Minimum years of related experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Understanding of EHS procedures and policies.
- Ability to safely operate manual equipment and hand tools.
- Working knowledge of inspection measurement equipment.
- Familiarity with all manufacturing and quality procedures related to the assigned product line in a lean manufacturing environment.
- Safely progress through on-the-job training.
- Successfully complete quality audits according to internal procedures on the assigned product line and/or equipment.
- Demonstrate the ability to safely perform job tasks using manual or automated equipment and utilize required gauges for inspection or testing.
- Demonstrate the ability to document and record inspection results as per in-house procedures.
- Maintain acceptable defect rates.
- When necessary, complete safety and special process training or certification.
- Ability to lift up to pounds.
