Job Summary
The Material Specialist role involves receiving, storing, staging, issuing, and delivering materials within the facility to support production schedules and customer orders.Key responsibilities include safely operating forklifts and other material handling equipment; accurately entering inventory transactions into ERP/MRP systems or scanning devices; maintaining accurate inventory documentation; collaborating with team members to ensure smooth material flow;
This position requires high school diploma or equivalent; at least one year of material handling experience required;
Familiarity with forklift operations preferred along with basic computer literacy including data entry knowledge of ERP systems ability to use barcode scanners perform repetitive motions such as bending twisting kneeling stooping lifting gripping grasping hands handle materials parts stand up ten hours per shift lift up seventy five pounds work environments noise chemicals dust sharp objects moving rotating mechanical parts temperature extremes
