    Description:


    Markon is seeking qualified candidates to fill a vacancy for a Cloud Engineer role within one of our Department of Defense customers in the Quantico, VA area.


    Responsibilities:
    Transition existing on-premises infrastructure to a cloud architecture
    Analyze current infrastructure and business processes
    Design, Implement, and Automate environment creation
    Recommend best practice approach of transition to cloud technologies or hybrid approach
    Develop transition plan that keeps current stakeholders informed during the process
    Automate creation of cloud environment using scripting tools
    Implement High Availability (HA) architecture, to maximize service uptime
    Work with current and identify future customers to ensure their mission needs will be met with minimal impact during transition
    Focus on integrating the services defined in the MCIEE Blueprint
    Migrate or re-engineer database design per requirements of analyst tools
    Install, configure, operate, and monitor CI/CD pipeline tools
    Train peers with administration/migration processes
    Train customers of new processes/procedures resulting from cloud transition
    Job Requirements


    Required:
    Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (Security+ CE or equivalent)
    Amazon Web Services Cloud certification is required
    Experience with available cloud services SaaS, PaaS, DaaS, and Self-Hosted, or hybrid approach
    Experience with scripting technologies such as python, bash, powershell
    Experience with C2S, S-C2S, AWS, Azure\MSO365 and Marine Corps Private Cloud technologies and dependencies
    Experience with auto scaling and load balancing
    Experience with DoD Cyber processes to include STIGs
    Experience with OS technologies including Windows and RedHat Linux servers and workstations
    Experience with backup and recovery/DR solutions and processes
    Experience with Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) development
    Experience with the MCISRE and Blueprint services
    Experience with ESRI Enterprise service architectures and geodatabase systems, specifically ArcGIS Portal
    Experience with FEDRAMP, NIST, RMF, and other process standards
    Experience with manual and automated security administration, remediation, and hardening (STIG reviews, group policy and permissions, system modifications based on vulnerability scans, audits, and mitigations; patch management)

    Experience implementing and supporting enterprise system monitoring tools MS Active Directory administration to include, but not limited to, Group Policy, Account Management, Domain Controllers, etc.

    Experience with tools such as git, gitlab, sonarqube, terraform, ansible, and jenkins
    Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
    Ability to work well independently and in a collaborative team environment
    Experience with Marine Corps processes, procedures, and interoperability requirements
