    Insurance and Reinsurance Career Associate Attorney

    Overview

    A law firm in the San Francisco area is seeking a highly skilled Insurance and Reinsurance Career Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will possess over 5 years of experience in insurance coverage and commercial litigation, with a deep understanding of professional liability, general liability, and directors and officers insurance policies.

    The role demands excellent academic credentials and superior research and writing abilities.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Provide expert legal advice on insurance coverage issues, including professional liability, general liability, and directors and officers insurance policies.
    • Analyze and interpret complex insurance policies and coverage disputes, advising clients on their rights and obligations.
    • Represent clients in litigation related to insurance coverage matters, including drafting and filing legal documents, motions, and pleadings.
    • Conduct comprehensive legal research and prepare detailed reports, memoranda, and correspondence.
    • Participate in depositions, mediations, and settlement negotiations on behalf of clients.
    • Stay informed on developments in insurance law and industry trends to offer up-to-date legal counsel.
    • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals to develop case strategies and prepare for hearings and trials.
    • Manage a diverse caseload efficiently, ensuring timely progression of cases and adherence to deadlines.

    Requirements:

    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance coverage and commercial litigation.
    • In-depth knowledge of insurance coverage issues, including professional liability, general liability, and directors and officers insurance policies.
    • Proven track record of managing complex insurance coverage disputes and litigation.
    • Excellent academic credentials, including a JD from an accredited law school.
    • Demonstrated superior research and writing skills.
    • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    Education:

    • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

    Certifications:

    • Licensed to practice law in the state of California.

    Skills:

    • Expertise in insurance coverage and reinsurance law.
    • Advanced research and writing capabilities.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills.
    • Proficiency with legal research tools and case management software.
    • Exceptional organizational and case management skills.
    • Ability to handle complex legal issues with precision and professionalism.
