    Description


    The VP, Enterprise Procurement & Supply Chain role will be member of the Senior Management Team responsible for overseeing company-wide procurement and contracting for all divisions and functions at PathGroup.

    This leader will be expected to lay the groundwork for processes and strategies to ensure quality, compliance, cost competitiveness and risk avoidance for today, and for the future.

    This position will be accountable to the overall policies, objectives and initiatives for sourcing material, capital equipment, real estate leases, and various services across the company.

    We expect the successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading a procurement and/or supply chain function for a medium to large-scale healthcare business, preferably in the laboratory diagnostic or MedTech industry.

    The successful candidate will also embody executive presence, skills and career experiences required for collaborating with and making recommendations to our Chief Operating Officer, Executive Leadership Team, CEO and Board of Directors.

    Job Responsibilities

    Highlight Leading the company-wide procurement function that leverages and assertively sources materials, capital, and services to meet the margin accretion goals of PathGroup.

    Create a strategic short-term and long-term plan to drive margin accretion through supplier cost reductions, improved quality and supply chain operational excellence.

    Comprehensive management of spend while delivering best-in-class procurement metrics.
    Delivering innovation in and strengthening of methods, tools and processes.

    Streamlining and optimizing methods and processes to ensure that procurement occurs in an efficient manner, while ensuring other factors, such as cost and risk, are addressed.

    Analyzing industry trends and evolving technology to proactively identify supply base issues to minimize risk, protect continuity of supply, and utilize emerging opportunities.

    Understanding market conditions for key materials, goods, and services.

    Collaborate with PathGroup leadership and others to identify and communicate barriers or gaps in the supplier management and to mitigate issues involving unfavorable costs and/or supply fulfillment issues in a timely and effective manner.

    Measure and optimize key performance indicators to improve costs and reduce defects through advanced financial analysis and trending.
    Function as a change agent through process improvement opportunities, leadership, and strategic vision.
    Advance cost reduction and supplier simplification strategies.
    Communicate performance, plans and progress with executive leadership on a regular basis. Consistently deliver a clear communications program regarding procurement programs/processes to specific employee audiences on an ongoing, proactive basis.

    Provide leadership and supervise/manage assigned teams, make decisions, solve problems, develop, and document procedures, and conduct and attend meetings that require a definitive interpretation and execution of PathGroup policies and standards.

    Sponsor technology and system initiatives for supply chain and/or procurement solutions to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance data analytics capabilities, including collaboration with IT teams and vendors to select and implement appropriate systems.

    Author new or updated policies to direct compliant and optimal procurement practices for the PathGroup organization.

    Manage the employee hiring process including interviewing prospective employees, developing performance expectations, identifying essential functions and knowledge, skills and abilities required for applicable positions.

    Manage employee performance by coaching, counseling, motivating, and evaluating employees on a continual basis.

    Ensure effective employee relations by sustaining an ethical, non-discriminatory, and safe work environment and establishing effective communication lines and methods.

    Identify and solve employee problems, manage conflict, and respond to grievances as needed.

    Perform all job responsibilities in alignment with the industry's best security practices and regulatory guidelines to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of protected health information and other sensitive company data.

    Become familiar with and abide by the Corporate Compliance Program and all Corporate policies, including the privacy and Security policies.

    Requirements

    Requirements:
    Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field from an accredited college is required. Master's degree preferred.
    10+ years of job-related experience in Procurement and/or Supply Chain, preferably in the clinical laboratory diagnostics or MedTech industry.
    Location in Nashville, TN is preferable, but not required. A remote location with travel for the preferred candidate may be possible.
    Must be able to accommodate a moderate amount of travel (25%).
    Strong team player with the ability to collaborate and influence business leaders and functional partners.
    Ability to motivate cross-functional teams, physicians, and suppliers to meet margin objectives for PathGroup.
    Outstanding negotiation and communication skills.
    Strategic mindset with fast-paced problem-solving skills.
    Deep knowledge of supply chain and global industry trends.
    Exceptionally self-motivated and directed.
