- Answering multiline phone system.
- Operating EHR to include creating appointments, cancelling appointments, fax inbox, etc.
- Prepping patient electronic charts to include verification of all ordered labs and imaging as well as any supporting pathology that may be required.
- Working monthly office visit recalls.
- Entering information into CoverMyMeds system for prescription authorizations as required.
- Triage patients to include taking vital signs, patient medical history, and supporting MIPS required documentation for each triaged patient.
- Setting up rooms for procedures such as feeding tube changes and hemorrhoidal bandings
- Cleaning/stocking exam rooms.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required
- One (1) or more years of experience as a Medical Assistant strongly preferred
- Current BLS certification or the ability to obtain upon hire
- Medical Assistant Certification preferred
- Certified Medical Assistant certification preferred
- Endoscopy experience preferred
- Familiar with gMED, Open Access, Recall and Scheduling patients procedures
