The Learning Experience - Custodian Position

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Custodian for our Child Care Center. As a Custodian, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for the children, staff, and parents.

Responsibilities:

• Cleaning and Sanitizing: Perform daily cleaning tasks like sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces to ensure a safe environment for children.
• Trash Removal: Collect and dispose of waste from classrooms, common areas, and outdoor spaces.
• Restroom Maintenance: Keep all restrooms clean, well-stocked, and sanitized throughout the day.
• Support Events: Assist in setting up and cleaning up after special events or activities.
• Report Maintenance Issues: Identify and report any maintenance or repair issues promptly.
• Supply Management: Monitor and restock cleaning supplies for a sufficient inventory.
• Outdoor Area Maintenance: Maintain clean and safe outdoor play areas.
• Collaborate with Staff: Work with the center staff to address cleaning needs.
• Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to spills, accidents, or emergencies.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in custodial or housekeeping roles preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Physical ability for tasks like lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, products, and equipment.
• Excellent communication skills and positive attitude.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Schedule: Full-time position, 40 hours per week, hours ranging from 10 AM to 8 PM.
