    Job Summary:

    A Chicago-based Private Equity Firm is actively seeking a dynamic and skilled professional to become a valuable member of their team. In this role, the Private Equity Associate will assume a pivotal position, responsible for identifying, assessing, and facilitating new investment prospects while also overseeing the firm's existing portfolio of investments. Many of the firms investments are within the Industrials and Business Services space. This would be a career track.

    Private Equity Associate Key Responsibilities:

    • Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential investment opportunities.
    • Conduct due diligence on potential investments, including financial analysis, industry analysis, and competitive analysis.
    • Develop financial models to evaluate investment opportunities, including revenue and cash flow projections, return on investment calculations, and sensitivity analysis.
    • Participate in negotiations with potential investment targets and their advisors.
    • Assist in the preparation of investment proposals, including investment memos, presentations, and other materials for internal and external stakeholders.
    • Monitor and manage existing portfolio investments, including regular financial reporting, performance tracking, and valuation analysis.
    • Collaborate with other team members on various projects and initiatives as needed.

    Private Equity Associate Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field required; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
    • 1-2 years of Investment Banking experience in a Coverage or M&A capacity
    • Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
