If so, we might have just the opportunity you're looking for Idaho National Laboratory's (INL) Environment, Safety, Health and Quality (ESH&Q) group is seeking forward-thinking professionals interested in exploring a career as an Environmental Manager Our team works a 4X10 schedule located at our Advanced Test Reactor Facility in Idaho with every Friday off Responsibilities Include: Provide the overall leadership, direction and management of the ATR environmental department. Implement the Environmental Management System at ATR. Interpret, approve and establish procedures specific to ATR facility but not in conflict with LWPs. Attends management meetings such as directed by the ATR S&C Director or ES&S Project & Program Support Manager. Provide direction to environmental/waste/emergency management and program compliance staff at ATR by providing daily oversight and guidance in the following areas: 1) implementation of environmental requirements, company procedures and environmental principles, theories, concepts, 2) interfacing regularly with senior management, 3) serve as the ATR primary interface with regulatory agencies, 4) representing BEA in critical meetings with regulators as appropriate, 5) providing input to facility/project environmental goals and targets, and finally 6) managing duties associated with emergency management. Facilitate the resolution of complex, diverse and unique challenges encountered in the execution of mission requirements. This may require building and/or leading multi-disciplinary teams and interfaces within ATR and externally throughout BEA. Obtain and integrate feedback from employees concerning safety, health, quality and environmental issues for specific activities and lessons learned. Conduct self-critical Performance Assurance activities of the ATR programs and project relative to environmental and waste management compliance (metrics, assessments, performance indicators, quarterly reports, lessons learned), maintain a risk register and ensure risks are properly communicated to ATR and home organization Senior. Management. Report quarterly on the quality and effectiveness of the ATR environmental / waste management Program. Provide weekly reports to progress reports to the ATR S&C Director and Environmental Support and Services Manager. Serve as the point of contact for all environmental issues at ATR. This may require building and/or leading multi-disciplinary teams. Translate the Environmental Management System strategy into actions and serve as ATR POC for strategic program improvements, scheduling meetings, develop budget and risk profile for execution of environmental and waste management programs that is coordinated across organizations and supports cost effective completion of ATR mission and lab critical outcomes. Monitor and report against approved budget. Provide input into environmental program risk register Provide status to Sr. Management as required. Manage assigned staff at ATR facility (internal communication, reward / discipline, provide leadership opportunities, maintain current ITPs, provide input to PDs, professional development, and succession plans).Qualifications: Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's Degree and 10 years' experience or advanced degree and 8 years' experience. Minimum of 3 years of management experience. Minimum of 1 year of nuclear experience; Nuclear experience is defined as experience acquired at commercial, production, training, test, military, or research reactors and includes experience acquired in reactor facility startup activities or operation. Experience in design, construction, maintenance, or related technical services that are job-related may also be considered. Appropriate research, or teaching, or both may be counted as nuclear experience. This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "L" / "Q" clearance, which requires US Citizenship.     • MR0200: Salary Grade 230 ($121,212 - $206,232)
