Currently seeking a Night Shift CNC Lathe Machinist to join our South Houston, TX near Hobby Airport location

Qualifications of the CNC Lathe Machinist include, but are not limited to

Understanding and ability to edit G Code.
Understanding and ability to program Mazatrol
Mazak Mazatrol CNC Lathe experience using 2 axis, X and Z rounded parts
7+ years experience with CNC machining
Experience machining tolerances within .0005"
Extensive knowledge of measuring tools ( ex. OD/ID micrometers, calipers, bore gages, depth gages, blade mics, etc)
Experience machining the following materials: Carbon steels, Stainless steels including duplex/superduplex, and Exotic materials (ex. Hasteloy)
Ability to read blueprints and produce product to meet required specifications.
Self-disciplined

Preferred experience –

G CODE programming required, MAZAK MAZATROL preferrable
CNC machining technical school certificate (preferred)
10+ Years experience (preferred) using CNC lathe machines with 2 axis, X and Z for rounding parts.
CNC lathe & manual machining experience using the Mazak Mazatrol Quick Turn 350 MY CNC Machine.
Experience with machining castings
Understanding of casting obstacles when machining (ex. Porosity, weld repair, etc...

Additional Information:

Physical Demand: Move around, bend and lift as up to 50 lbs. required.

Working Conditions: Working environment will require the operator to be standing 90% of the time in a non-AC environment.

Training/Certifications: N/A

Shift Time/Overtime: Position is Night Shift Role starting at 6:00 pm and ending at 4:30 am, Ability to work 12-hour shifts, up to 7 days a week.

Travel: N/A

Education: High School diploma/GED
