Position Summary:

Maintains the fiber optic equipment/accessories and supply inventory of the department. Facilitates the safe and efficient performance of Endoscopy procedures.

Reports to: Manager

FLSA: Non-exempt

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Receives and processes specimens for delivery to the lab.Drag Edit DeleteMaintains an adequate inventory of supplies and equipment.Drag Edit DeleteCleans and disinfects all fiber optic endoscopes and accessory equipment. Prepares equipment for processing and sterilization as assigned.Drag Edit DeleteCleans and prepares procedure rooms in between patients and sets up appropriate equipment for the next procedure.Drag Edit DeleteProvide support to physicians and nurses during procedures.Drag Edit DeleteAssesses equipment functioning and performance, notifies appropriate person of any defects/damage, and prepares equipment which needs to be sent out for repair.Drag Edit DeleteAssists with preparing, transporting, positioning, and transfers of patients as needed.Drag Edit DeletePerforms on call services as requested.Drag Edit DeleteActively participates and ensures room turn overs are efficient and timely.
