    I'm working with a leading engineering firm based out of Wixom who are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join the team.

    The role is primarily design & product is full custom conveyor systems mainly for the automotive industry.


    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct engineering calculations for drives, shafts, cylinders, and bearings.
    • Create ABMs, Work Orders, and address inquiries from purchasing and shop teams.
    • Offer technical insights for drawing development and assist project engineers.
    • Review drawings for accuracy before submission to the shop or external sources.
    • Develop AutoCAD conveyor layouts tailored to customer specifications.
    • Manage project requirements from pre- to post-award stages.
    • Participate in on-site meetings and perform field checks as necessary.
    • Coordinate with engineering subcontractors and provide startup support.

    Education and Experience:

    • Hold a bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
    • Possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in automotive conveyor work.
    • Demonstrated strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
    • Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Excellent communication skills coupled with a proactive approach.
    • Ability to effectively prioritize tasks, especially in demanding situations.
    • Skilled in identifying scope changes and preparing detailed change order requests.

    Job Type:
    Full-time


    Pay:
    $80, $110,000.00 per year
