Retention Bonuses:

$2,000.00 for in-training licensure
$4,000.00 for fully licensed therapists

Job Overview: The Therapist develops, coordinates, and facilitates direct social services to patients and their families, performing duties as directed by their manager. This role is in an acute care setting, including partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient services.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Responsibilities:

Provide therapeutic treatment services to individuals, groups, families, and significant others.
Conduct individual treatment sessions as needed.
Offer crisis intervention services and daily safety assessments.
Interact respectfully with patients, families, significant others, and referents.
Participate in psychoeducational support sessions.
Deliver case management and therapeutic interventions to assigned patients.
Advocate for patients following system policies and procedures.
Manage patient/family expectations and ensure clinical effectiveness.
Maintain contact with referring providers, schools (if applicable), and care teams.
Implement and document patient-specific goals and interventions.
Ensure goals are SMART (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, and Timely).
Complete all required documentation, including admissions, treatment plans, and progress notes.
Conduct Social Services Admission Assessments, Suicide Risk Assessments, and safety plans.
Obtain necessary consent for the release of records.
Collaborate with the treatment team and provide ongoing documentation.
Document patient treatment status daily and summarize progress from multidisciplinary team meetings.
For inpatient and residential settings: Assist with treatment director's hold and necessary documentation.
Complete discharge documentation and ensure proper handoff to outpatient providers and other stakeholders.
Report and document suspected abuse or neglect according to state law and system policies.

Additional Responsibilities:

Provide leadership and guidance in clinical interventions.
Evaluate and modify the Care Plan based on interdisciplinary interventions.
Participate in treatment planning and progress reviews.
Communicate professionally and accurately.

Education/Training Requirements:

Master's Degree in Social Work or a related field from an accredited institution.
In-training licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC-IT), Marriage and Family Therapist Training License (MFT-TL), Social Worker Training Certificate (SWTC), Advance Practice Social Work (APSW), or equivalent in the state of practice.
Knowledge of therapeutic interventions and techniques for all age groups and understanding of human growth and behavior.
Training in cognitive behavioral therapies as required by the program.
American Red Cross Professional Rescue certification within 30 days of hire, with bi-annual re-certification.
Training in the management of aggressive patients (NCI) within 60 days of hire, with annual re-certification.
Completion of all mandatory and relevant in-services for the position and adherence to educational and licensing requirements.
