24-25 Veteran Village Program Coordinator VISTA - Flint, MI

This program will engage the VISTA in the coordination of programming for Sacred Heart Veteran Village.

The VISTA will build relationships within the community with organizations that provide programs that will benefit the participants of the program.

In addition, the VISTA will organize and implement programming and activities for the Village. The VISTA will play a vital role in creating sustainable program guides for the Village. This VISTA position is a part of Catholic Charities USA's Family Strengthening Program, a national intermediary project.

As a member, you will meet virtually with VISTA Leaders and other VISTAs serving throughout the country, all focused on alleviating poverty.

Member Duties :

Working in tandem with the Development Department, the VISTA will assist with the creation of programming documents for Sacred Heart Veteran Village.

The VISTA will serve as a Program Coordinator by building relationships with vendors of SHVV and providing outreach support for the Community Center.

Working closely with the Development Director, the VISTA will assist with the processes of securing non-federal and state grants. The VISTA will develop sustainable processes to retain programming information. As a member of the Development Department, the VISTA will participate in all staff and committee meetings.
