    Summary


    The Senior Business Planning Analyst, as a member of the Finance department at Rochester Regional Health will provide financial support, business planning assistance, analysis, and actionable consultative advice relative to Rochester Regional strategic initiatives with the goal of improving overall financial performance and business processes.

    ATTRIBUTES
    Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business/Health Administration, Statistics or related field required.
    At least 3 – 5 years of prior relevant experience including experience collecting and analyzing data preferred.
    High level of computer and software competency; Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.

    Exceptional organizational skills; using systematic methods to perform work and creativity to recommend or create new work methods or proceduresAnalytical, proactive problem solving skills; techniques to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner, gathers and analyzes information skillfully.

    Strong organizational and documentation skills are essential along with the ability to successfully manage multiple tasks with concurrent deadlinesAbility to present complex financial concepts to all levels of organization, and be able to properly handle and guard confidential information.

    Experience in Financial Modeling.

    Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel including but not limited to v/h lookups, macros, 'if' statements, array formulae, drop down lists, error validation techniques and pivot tables.

    Working knowledge and thorough understanding of Accounting/Budgeting principles and systems.

    Proven written and oral communication skills along with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment are also essential.

    Responsibilities


    FINANCIAL ANALYSIS:

    Partners with the Executive and Operational leaders to develop comprehensive, forward looking business plans and financial analysis for potential mergers, acquisitions, service line growth & expansion, operational evaluations, and other initiatives.

    Presents decision-makers with a financial overview of assigned projects and provides recommendations supported by internal and external metrics. Creates interactive financial models to project financial outcomes based on a set of predetermined variables and assumptions. Utilizes Discounted Cash Flow concepts and methods to evaluate and compare alternatives.


    COLLABORATION & IMPROVEMENT:

    Collaborates with team members at all levels of the organization to gather, compile and analyze relevant financial & operational data for assigned projects.

    Compares and analyzes actual results against implemented business initiatives and recommends improvements to forecasting/planning methods for the future projects. Stays abreast of developments in the healthcare and finance industries. Actively learns and builds a knowledge base to support a wide range of projects. Identifies trends within various operational reporting to better inform decision making.

    The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant.

    It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
