    This position can work from San Francisco, Indianapolis, Washington D.C., New York City, or Boston. We are a Hybrid environment with 2-3 days in the office.

    Authorization to work in the U.S. is a precondition of employment.

    What You'll Do

    The Head of Legal at LILT will oversee all the Legal aspects of Lilt including deal desk management, vendor management, manage legal strategy as well as oversee the Compliance related risks for Lilt. Responsibilities include acting as a key advisor for the Sales & People Operations teams, managing deals from concept to booking, assisting with contractual language interpretation, and acting as the point person for escalations to Legal. The ideal candidate will have Commercial deal desk experience and will be motivated to define and establish best practices. Additionally, the candidate will be working with the Government sales team in negotiating Federal contracts. The candidate must have a passion for working in Tech and have a strong interest in staying on top of emerging legal issues in the AI space. The candidate must have the ability to multitask, meet SLAs and manage risk to the business while providing exceptional customer service.

    This role will partner cross-functionally across the organization and work closely with the global leadership team members. The role will have a significant organization and cultural impact by managing all things Deal Desk.

    This position is based remotely from the Washington D.C. area until such time as the Company establishes a permanent office, at which time this role will be expected to work in the office in a hybrid capacity. This position reports directly to the CFO/COO who is also based in Washington D.C.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Act as key advisor for the Commercial and Government Field Sales and Deal Desk teams
    • Manage deals from concept to booking, including deal structure, quoting, pricing, and partnering with the Sales team to ensure the deal is correctly booked.
    • Maintain and enforce agreed upon departmental review and approval SLAs
    • Assist to interpret contractual language and escalate to ensure deals comply with revenue recognition and operational policies
    • Oversees the Sales deal queue to provide assistance and advice on complex deal questions and advanced Quote to Cash related matters and to maintain SLAs and handling of complex and/or non-standard requests
    • Partner with Sales Operations and Sales Systems teams to facilitate process and system improvements, sales enablement and other special projects related to Quote to Cash
    • Deliver relevant training to new and existing Sales reps on Deal Desk, Order Booking, and overall QTC best practices
    • Focus on Quote to Cash process automation and improvement, broader Field Operations projects, and working with cross functional teams at LILT
    • Oversee management and negotiation of contracts with third party vendors and contractors
    • Manage LILT's Compliance Program and ensure Lilt meets all the required regulatory requirements in the countries Lilt operates
    • Provide thought leadership on the emerging regulatory environment in the AI policy space and advise LILT's leadership team to ensure Lilt is best positioned to navigate the regulatory landscape.

    Skills and Experience

    • 5+ years of Deal Desk experience with Commercial and Public Sector customers
    • Start-up experience
    • International experience a plus
    • Strong interest in AI Tech Regulatory Policy
    • Proven success in the Enterprise Managed Services B2B Industry
    • Proven success in negotiating Federal Contracts
    • Proven success partnering with GTM Teams and other cross functional departments
    • Proven success in Direct and Channel Sales models
    • Strong understanding of software revenue recognition and order process principles required
    • Highly organized, customer-focused, innovative and strong attention to details
    • Strong business acumen, strong reporting and analytics, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and project management skills
    • Excellent communicator, self-aware, transparent, professional, and open to feedback
    • Ability to multitask and prioritize at times of high volume, schedule flexibility during month/quarter/year end Strong quantitative skills and highly proficient in gSuite, , and CPQ tools
