    Job Description:

    SCOPE:
    Responsible for performing tasks assigned by the Director of Accounting.

    The internship will be structured to assist with Accounting functions, in order to gain a wide range of Accounting experience and knowledge surrounding areas such as, Accounts Receivables, Collections, and Cash Applications.


    FUNCTIONS:

    • Assist with monthly close journal entries and account reconciliation preparation
    • Enter/apply cash receipts from bank data & remittance files
    • Assist with research, filing, data entry, recording and maintaining accurate and complete financial records
    • Learn how to work as part of the Accounting team to compile and analyze data, track information, and support the company
    • Create and update process flow documentation and desktop procedures
    • Take on additional tasks or projects to learn more about accounting and office operation

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    Pursuing Bachelor's degree in Accounting and preferable incoming Junior/Senior

    Commitment of at least one semester but preferably one year or more

    Satisfactory completion of introductory accounting courses and a basic understanding of accounting and financial principles

    GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred


    ADDITIONAL SKILLS/ABILITIES:
    Strong technical and organizational skills in addition to excellent written and verbal communication skills

    Competent with Microsoft Excel

    Detail oriented with a high level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, enthusiasm and confidentiality

    Motivation and strong desire to take on new challenges and learn as much as possible
