Field Service Technician

Job Description Field Service Technicians are dispatched in a company truck to customers sites to install and service loading dock equipment, overhead doors, and specialty lifts.

Field Service Technicians act as a technical resource for our company and customers.

This position works independently or in small teams in a field services environment and requires driving to customer sites in a company truck and maintaining an organized work environment.

Ensures equipment performs to specifications by conducting tests; modify and adjust the equipment for proper operation.
Maintains equipment per specification.
Disassemble or dismantle equipment.
Plans and facilitates installation and repair of new or refurbished machinery.
Conducts safety inspections of equipment.
Red Tag equipment that is deemed unsafe.
Ability to work with mechanical and electrical components.
Basic understanding of how and why electrical, mechanical, hydraulic systems work independently or with each other.
Thorough and broad understanding of a variety of equipment and equipment.
Visual acuity to properly inspect and modify large and detailed portions of equipment.
Manual dexterity to assemble, disassemble, adjust, service and perform planned maintenance on equipment and drive a vehicle.
