We are seeking a passionate individual to join our team as a Head Counselor for an exciting Temporary Position at our camp!

JOB SUMMARY: As the Head Counselor, you will be responsible for providing program and counseling leadership to a team of eight Counselors and campers. Your role will involve assisting in General Staff Orientation, offering support and guidance on camper and staff discipline, and ensuring all program staff members adhere to camp rules during the summer.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

In addition to the responsibilities listed, you will be expected to:

• Attend/Assist with general staff training week, and review all pre-training materials.
• Provide leadership to Counselors and campers per session.
• Supervise counseling staff and nightly camp activities.
• Coordinate daily programming, evening programs, classes, and activities.
• Assist with camper/staff transportation.
• Lead and guide campers in daily activities and provide spiritual support as needed.
• Ensure cabin cleanliness, personal hygiene, and dining hall etiquette.
• Offer discipline when necessary and participate in camp outings and services.
• Conduct pre-camp preparation and assist with check-in/check-out procedures.
• Supervise camp maintenance and staff living areas.
• Complete required trainings in CPR, First Aid, and Safe From Harm.
• Maintain regular attendance as an essential part of the role.
