Job summary

To provide fast, easy, flexible and friendly service to our customers through the achievement of Food Lion customer service standards. Ensure check stands are supplied with proper bags,
register receipt paper, Catalina coupon paper and restocks cigarette drawers at each check lane.

Smile and provide prompt,
accurate and friendly service while engaging customers to create a positive shopping experience Greet each customer
and uses his or her name whenever possible Unload customers' groceries from cart to belt-unload items for ease of bagging such as grouping cold items together Check the bottom of every cart
and under all baby seats for items before completing an order Follow correct bagging procedures for the correct use of bags by type Scan customers' order
and handles the payment transaction per standard practice Make every attempt to maintain accurate cash control Follow procedures in handling cash,
coupons gift cards partner cards food stamps WIC vouchers Follow procedures for refunds error correction Identify customers needing assistance offers to take the customer's order
to their car including Food Lion To-Go orders if applicable Maintain alertness call for assistance when needed to service
customers per service standards Check prices quickly accurately Is courteous helpful other associates Retrieve shopping carts from parking lot cart corrals utilizing tether strap per standard practice Ensure work station front-end area if applicable has neat clean presentation Report any register malfunction Customer Service Manager MOD Ensure MVP savings center KIOSK is filled with paper properly working Observe correct all unsafe conditions that could cause associate or customer accidents Notify QA any cleaning issues maintenance required on front end Successfully complete computer-based training CBT training aid courses Perform task cashier when scheduled or needed surge plan guidelines Perform task managing front end brief absence Customer Service Manager ACSM ensure service standards maintained Perform task Food Lion To-Go Runner when scheduled or needed Find more efficient ways do job seeks reduce costs improve labor productivity Perform all duties assigned
