    Director of Accounting

    Department: Household Group

    Reports To: Senior Director of Business and Operations

    What you'll be doing

    The Director of Accounting is responsible for overseeing all accounting and finance functions of the Household Group and it's subsidiaries. This position ensures compliance with all applicable tax and accounting regulations and manages the preparation of of filing of all necessary financial statements. The successful candidate has excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, a deep understanding of accounting principles and processes, and experience with accounting platform migration analysis and execution.

    You will be responsible for...

    • Oversee the preparation of all necessary financial statements, and ensure that all financial reporting is accurate and timely.
    • Manage the processing of all accounts payables and receivables, including invoices and payments.
    • Monitor the accuracy of financial data and ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded.
    • Analyze financial data for patterns, trends, and anomalies, and recommend corrective action as necessary.
    • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
    • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
    • Provide financial guidance and support to department heads, and ensure that all financial decisions are in alignment with the organization's strategic goals.
    • Supervise and mentor accounting staff.

    What experience you'll bring to us

    • Bachelors degree in Accounting, finance or related field required.
    • Minimum of 8 years of experience in accounting or finance preferred
    • Accounting experience in an organization with revenue of $100M+ preferred
    • Experience working in a Family Office preferred
    • CPA or CMA required (or in process and obtained within 12 months of employment)

    This position operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax. This position must work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced setting and can handle interruptions while maintaining productivity and accuracy. If traveling, employees may be exposed to weather conditions.
