    The School of Accounting, Finance and Business Information Systems invites applications for a full-time (1.00 FTE), 9-month, tenure-track (annual)

    Assistant Professor:
    Finance position.

    Expectations include high-quality teaching and scholarly activities that result in finance publications in leading peer-reviewed journals.


    Assistant professors are expected to establish a program of research/scholarship that leads to timely promotion in rank and the granting of indefinite tenure.


    Moreover, faculty members are expected to engage in appropriate service activities both within the University and their profession and are expected to be collegial members of the unit and to exhibit a code of behavior appropriate to a professional educator.

    Research, teaching, or experience in all areas of finance will be considered.

    High-quality teaching of undergraduate and graduate courses in finance.

    Scholarly performance will be demonstrated through the publication of research results included in, but not limited to, peer-refereed scholarly journals.

    10% - Service


    Engaging in appropriate activities both within the University and their profession and contributing to the College and University strategic initiatives.

    What You Will Need


    • PhD terminal degree in finance or related area from an AACSB International accredited institution or equivalent by employment start date.
    • Demonstrated ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses.
    • Demonstrated ability to develop a research program in the academic discipline/unit.
    • Demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity, equity, and inclusion.
    What We Would Like You to Have


    • Teaching experience at the university level commensurate with job requirements.
    • Teaching experience in Financial Institutions related courses.
    • Relevant professional non-academic work experience and ability to develop strong linkages with the business community.
    • Demonstrated ability to publish research within leading journals and to collaborate in scholarly pursuits with colleagues located both locally and remotely.
    Working Conditions / Work Schedule


    Teaching assignments may include course delivery in any format - site-based in-person, asynchronous online, or hybrid combinations of online, site-based in-person, and/or remote instruction.


    Pay Method Salary Pay Period 1st through the last day of the month Pay Date Last working day of the month Recommended Full-Time Salary Range Salary is commensurate with skills, education and experience.
